Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation (PT - Rehab) Travel assignment in Lancaster, Ohio. Duration: 13 weeks. Work hours: 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts. Job Overview The position is based in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital where patients recover from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, major orthopedic surgeries and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with an interdisciplinary team that includes physiatrists, hospitalists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, case managers, dietitians and social workers to achieve functional gains and facilitate patient discharge. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of adult and geriatric patients. Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans and deliver high‑intensity therapy sessions focused on mobility, balance, strength, endurance, functional transfers and gait training. Apply therapeutic approaches such as task‑specific training, neuromuscular re‑education, therapeutic exercises and functional activities to promote independence. Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques and durable medical equipment. Collaborate daily with the care team through rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to review outcomes, adjust care plans and prepare for discharge. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education and evidence‑based practice projects. Maintain a patient‑centered environment, ensuring safety and proper use of lifts, transfer equipment and assistive devices. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist with a minimum of 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience. PT‑Compact accepted. BLS‑AHA certification.
