Job Description

The Regional Operations Manager regularly evaluates branch merchandising, operating systems, policies, procedures, and processes to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role fosters a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development across assigned markets. Additionally, the Regional Operations Manager supports the recruitment, coaching, and development of Branch Managers and Branch Sales Associates, ensuring a strong talent pipeline for current and future leadership needs within the wholesale branch network.

Responsibilities:

• Customer-focused leader with a proven ability to coach teams, develop talent, and understand customer needs.
• Lead operations, sales performance, and profitability for a portfolio of wholesale branches within an assigned market.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize sales growth and operational performance across all branches.
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and partner with local sales teams to drive branch traffic and strengthen dealer relationships through customer feedback and engagement.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate Sales Associates, Warehouse Associates/Drivers, and Wholesale Branch Sales Managers while fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales and EBIT objectives.
• Conduct regular operational audits, sales reviews, and business performance assessments using business intelligence (BI) tools to identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability improvements.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, supported by strong integrity and personal accountability.
• Utilize superior organizational, planning, and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
• Drive leadership development initiatives across the region, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and readiness for future leadership opportunities.
• Analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve processes, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences at all organizational levels through strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of progressive experience in wholesale distribution, HVAC supply, industrial distribution, or a closely related branch and warehouse environment.
• 3+ years leading multiple branches, warehouses, or geographically dispersed teams through local managers.
• Experience with branch expansion, relocations, facility redesign, showroom standards, or distribution network changes.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the South Central Region

• Experience developing leaders, standardizing processes across locations, and delivering measurable improvements in service, productivity, safety, or profitability.
• Ability to interpret operational and financial data, communicate priorities clearly, and work across sales, supply chain, and finance.
