Marketing & Sales Director

COMPANY OVERVIEW AMW Marketing & Design is a boutique branding, web design and marketing firm in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area, specializing in helping service businesses and non-profits upgrade their online presence, automate processes and increase search traffic. Since 2013, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses nationwide achieve greater professional success by launching and redefining beautiful brands and websites that generate steady revenue while also highlighting their unique personality and competitive differentiators. We are currently seeking a Marketing & Sales Director to lead our sales growth strategy, develop lead generation systems, manage client acquisition processes, and track marketing performance to drive revenue and partnerships. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred 5–7 years of experience in marketing, sales strategy, or business development Proven experience with lead generation and client acquisition strategies Strong understanding of digital marketing and marketing performance metrics Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience conducting sales calls, presentations, and closing deals Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail Comfortable using CRM platforms, marketing analytics tools, and reporting dashboards Experience managing CRM systems and building structured sales pipelines Ability to track and evaluate marketing ROI and adjust strategies accordingly Familiarity with ConvertKit or willingness to learn JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement the company’s lead generation strategy to consistently attract qualified prospects for AMW Marketing & Design through digital marketing, partnerships and strategic outreach. Oversee and optimize the entire sales pipeline, from initial lead capture through discovery calls, proposals, and client onboarding. Conduct discovery calls, sales presentations, and client consultations to convert qualified prospects into clients. Prepare and present customized proposals and service recommendations aligned with client goals and AMW service offerings. Provide strategic direction for the company’s marketing campaigns, working with the Marketing Coordinator to execute social media content, email newsletters, lead magnets, website updates, and promotional campaigns. Collaborate with leadership to refine service positioning, messaging, and market differentiation to strengthen the company’s brand and competitive advantage. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, referral relationships, and collaboration opportunities that generate new business opportunities. Track and analyze marketing and sales performance, including lead sources, campaign effectiveness, pipeline value, and conversion rates. Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline health, and marketing ROI, along with recommendations for growth and optimization. Identify and test new revenue channels, marketing initiatives, and growth opportunities to expand the agency’s client base. Maintain and optimize the company’s CRM and sales systems (currently 17Hats and ConvertKit) to ensure effective lead tracking, follow-up, and relationship management. Work closely with internal team members and contractors to ensure smooth handoff of new clients from sales to project delivery.
