Import Coordinator | Bensenville, Illinois | Hybrid working arrangement This hybrid opportunity is ideal for someone with experience handling both Air & Ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple shipments while ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and customer requirements. What's On Offer Salary up to $68,000 depending on experience Performance-based bonus Hybrid working arrangement 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off & company holidays Key Responsibilities Coordinate Air & Ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery. Communicate with overseas offices, carriers, customers, truckers, and customs brokers. Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers. Review and prepare shipping documentation including HAWBs, MAWBs, HBLs, MBLs, arrival notices, and delivery orders. Coordinate customs clearance and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant. Arrange inland transportation and final delivery. Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and service issues efficiently. Prepare invoices, verify vendor charges, and process billing accurately. Maintain accurate shipment records within CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software. Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple shipments and deadlines. Requirements 2+ years of freight forwarding experience in Air and/or Ocean Imports. Experience managing import shipments from origin through final delivery. Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and import procedures. Knowledge of customs clearance processes. Experience using CargoWise is highly preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a busy workload. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
