Export Coordinator | Franklin Park, Illinois | Salary up to $70,000 + Bonus This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in managing both Air & Ocean export shipments from start to finish. Working in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment, you'll deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with international shipping regulations and customer requirements. What's On Offer Salary up to $70,000 depending on experience Performance bonus 401(k) with company match Paid time off & company holidays Stable and growing international freight forwarder Key Responsibilities Coordinate Air & Ocean export shipments from booking through to final departure. Arrange bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, and overseas agents. Prepare and process export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, and certificates of origin. Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and customer-specific requirements. Maintain regular communication with customers, overseas offices, carriers, and vendors. Track shipments and proactively provide status updates. Coordinate pickups, warehousing, and transportation as required. Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and service issues. Verify shipping costs and complete accurate billing and invoicing. Maintain accurate shipment records within CargoWise or other freight forwarding software. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service. Requirements 2+ years of experience in international freight forwarding. Experience handling both Air & Ocean export shipments. Strong understanding of export documentation and compliance. Experience filing AES is preferred. Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping procedures. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
