Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services to support the efficient operation of the respiratory suite. Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager, the Respiratory Therapist Extern assists the respiratory staff in the respiratory process in accordance with the Respiratory Therapist Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The Respiratory Therapist Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved school of respiratory therapy and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree
