Responsibilities Act as the on‑site lead during new system installations, directing third‑party contractors and ensuring high‑quality execution Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real‑time, resolving challenges under pressure Perform routine and emergency maintenance services across client sites Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and proactively identify potential risks Review site layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring feasibility and accuracy Write clear and thorough technical documentation, including installation and service reports Serve as the face of UVeye in the field, providing excellent customer service and managing client expectations with professionalism and confidence Requirements 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Field Technician in hardware/software installation and deployment Proven experience leading teams or contractors during technical installations Strong hands‑on skills across civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies Working knowledge of Linux‑based systems and basic networking principles Demonstrated ability to write installation, service, and maintenance procedures Previous experience using AutoCAD or Autodesk to generate and interpret site layouts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead discussions and provide direction clearly Customer‑first mindset and a high degree of resilience and adaptability under pressure Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce compliance at every stage of the job Willingness to travel up to 90% across the US Valid driver’s license Must reside in Colorado Ideally, we’re looking for Experience working in startup companies Certified electrician diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience with CAD software Experience in automotive industry Additional scripting or troubleshooting knowledge Physical Requirements This role may involve on‑site or field‑based activities, including extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking; working in and around vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, or warehouse environments; and performing occasional manual tasks such as lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs , bending, or reaching. The role may also require travel, working in varying environmental conditions, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The annual base salary range for this position is $35/hr – $38/hr. Travel & Expenses This role requires frequent travel to customer sites. Employees are responsible for renting their own vehicle for work trips and must have a valid driver’s license and rental eligibility. Flights and hotels are booked through the Company’s travel platform, but other expenses, including rental cars, fuel, tolls, meals, parking, and hotel security deposits, must be paid with a personal credit card and submitted for reimbursement in accordance with the Company’s Travel & Expense Policy.
