Business Development Analyst

Supporting commercial transactions, investment evaluation, transaction structuring, and strategic growth initiatives across natural gas, power, and LNG markets. About the Role Six One Commodities is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of commercial opportunities across natural gas, power, and LNG markets. Working closely with Business Development, Origination, Trading, Risk, and Finance teams, you will help evaluate opportunities, build financial models, support strategic investments, and provide commercial insights that drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Evaluate commercial opportunities, strategic investments, and structured transactions across natural gas, power, and LNG markets. Build financial, valuation, and scenario models to support commercial decision-making. Partner with Business Development, Origination, Trading, Risk, and Finance teams to assess opportunities and develop customer solutions. Monitor market developments and provide insights on natural gas, power, and LNG markets. Support transaction negotiations, investment evaluations, and portfolio analysis. Prepare commercial proposals, investment memoranda, and presentations for senior leadership. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. 2-5 years of experience in energy, commodities, commercial analytics, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, trading support, or a related field. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Strong analytical and quantitative capability. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in natural gas, power, LNG, or broader energy markets. Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, or similar analytical tools. Exposure to transaction structuring, risk management, or ETRM platforms.
