Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide highly skilled nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting women through childbirth and postpartum recovery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient family-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions using fetal monitoring systems and document findings accurately.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, and triage in the OB Emergency Department.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes, postpartum recovery, and lactation support.
• Adhere to unit policies, maintain compliance with certifications, and promote a safe, clean environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing support during after-hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current certifications: ALS, BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, and C-EFM.
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to operate fetal monitoring equipment and perform obstetric procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in Meditech and CPN electronic medical records systems.
