Meaning, you'll be on your feet, working with our HAAS and CMS machines, and meeting high-quality, aerospace production standards. Previous CNC experience is required. Reliable daily attendance is also required. If you have a history of missing shifts or arriving late without notice, please do not waste your time or ours.***** We are a federal subcontractor, and we test for marijuana*****What You Will DoCNC Machinist will operate computer-controlled tools to machine or process parts, tools, or other work pieces primarily of polyurethane foam but other materials as well. Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations, in addition to, dimensional and finish specifications.Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixturesMount, install, align, secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to effectively and efficiently setup and breakdown machines, removing finished work pieces, tooling changes, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequencesRead, interpret and convey instructions, verbally and in written formRequirementsMust have a high school diploma or GEDHave a minimum of 2 years of CNC experienceExperience with GD and TMust be able to receive and interpret instructions and directions from supervisors and peersMust demonstrate good judgment to perform the job correctly and safelyMust be process minded with experience leading and participating in Continuous Improvement initiativesDemonstrate a daily commitment to advancing the company's core mission, vision and operational valuesBe a fast learner who can understand and follow technical instructionsBe responsible, disciplined, and detail-orientedAbility to work efficiently in a workshop environmentReliable team player interested in a long-term positionAbility to overcome obstacles by pushing through difficult tasks with a positive solution-oriented mindsetLearn from failure by bouncing back quickly from setbacks and treating mistakes as learning momentsMaintain excellent daily attendance and punctualityMaintain collaborative and positive "can-do" attitudeAdapt to change and remains calm, steady and flexible during rapid workplace transitionsOther duties as assigned, such as helping other departments to meet company goalsPreferred Applicants will also possess the following:Experience operating HAAS and CMS machinesProcess control mindedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsStanding 8 hours per dayFinger dexterity – the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objectsArm-hand steadiness – the ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one positionShiftThis position requires that you are available for either day or swing shift. We offer a $1.50 shift premium for anyone on swing shift.
