Fund Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties Record journal entries and maintain general ledger for assigned partnerships to ensure accurate financial tracking. Reconcile bank accounts and prepare capital calls and distribution notices to partners. Understand and apply limited partnership agreements to financial reporting and income allocation processes. Maintain knowledge of current accounting principles and develop solutions for partnership-related issues. Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and management reports for assigned partnerships. Allocate income and expenses to partners’ capital accounts accurately and efficiently. Review transaction and valuation information to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collaborate with the Fund Controller to support financial operations and reporting. Fund Accountant Job Requirements Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 1-2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting preferred. Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting standards essential. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required for accurate financial tracking. Ability to interpret and apply limited partnership agreements to financial operations. Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations preferred. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
