Salary: $70,000–$80,000/year, DOE

At Gjelina NY, we’re looking for a Floor Manager who feels at home on the floor — someone who can lead a team, maintain strong service standards, connect with guests, and keep things moving smoothly during a busy service.

Our managers are culture drivers. Their presence sets the tone for the team and the room.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the floor and support smooth, consistent service
• Stay present during service, connecting with guests and supporting the team
• Lead pre-shifts and communicate daily priorities
• Coach, train, and support team members
• Maintain strong communication between the floor, kitchen, and management team
• Support the team’s knowledge of the menu, ingredients, seasonality, wine, and beverage program
• Address guest feedback and resolve issues thoughtfully
• Support scheduling, inventory, menu updates, and daily operations
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and restaurant presentation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience
• Experience leading the floor in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Natural presence and ability to connect with guests and teams
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
• Calm and good judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on approach and willingness to step in where needed
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant technology
• Familiarity with local Department of Health requirements
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
