We’re Hiring: Water & Sewer Service Technician

Location: Henry County Service Center, Bassett, VA
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary Minimum: $40,260 - $49,746 annually ($19.35 - $23.92/hour)

The Henry County Public Service Authority is looking for a Water & Sewer Service Technician who wants a stable, meaningful career keeping our community’s essential services running safely and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Perform repairs and install new water and sewer lines, pumps, fire hydrants, and related equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and service calls as part of an on-call rotation, including some nights and weekends.
• Work as part of a supportive crew that values safety, teamwork, and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge (or strong interest and aptitude to learn) in water and sewer system maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Ability and willingness to work on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement, or the ability to obtain it within 18 months of hire (training support may be available).
• Someone who is reliable, ready to learn, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
