Management Trainee

Position Overview As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This entry-level training position includes an intensive 16‑week program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Under the direction of a mentor, you will learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross‑dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills. Responsibilities Complete the leadership training program requiring guided, independent study. Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily. Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls. Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to gain an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion. Participate in the 16‑week training program and relocate to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations upon completion. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or at least two years of related work experience. Acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening abilities. Professional demeanor and appearance, maintaining a strong work ethic. Basic computer skills. Flexibility and readiness to relocate as needed. Compensation & Shift Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000–$60,000. Work Shift: Third Shift.
