Job Description We are seeking an Unclaimed Property Specialist 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in claim processing, investigations, and regulatory interpretation, and a proven ability to validate ownership and process payments in compliance with statutes and policies. Responsibilities: Communicate complex ownership and claim information to claimants and holders with accuracy and professionalism. Conduct initial and follow-up interviews and investigations to determine ownership using deductive reasoning. Independently gather information from multiple sources to substantiate claims. Review and critically evaluate documents, including affidavits, powers of attorney, wills, trusts, contracts, court documents, and corporate records. Research records and reports to locate unclaimed properties efficiently. Interpret and apply statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures across all 50 states, relevant federal regulations, and international restrictions. Approve payment of validated claims in accordance with program rules. Manage and prioritize a workload of claims to meet statutory timelines, quality standards, and agency goals. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency with office and word processing software and comfort with learning new applications, including Google Suite. Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail and sound judgment. Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement. High School Diploma. Preferred Skills: Experience in unclaimed property, claims processing, or related regulatory programs. Familiarity with domestic relations and probate concepts affecting ownership determinations.
