Role Overview The PRN Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re‑assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. They participate in program planning, protocol development, and support team goals to enhance patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting findings; explain results and involve patients and families in goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentation, and healthcare environment; collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed. Perform discharge planning, follow‑up care, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards; maintain flexible, compassionate, and patient‑centered approach in service delivery. Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in orientation and mentoring of staff, students, and volunteers. Qualifications & Skills Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. DC OT licensure or eligibility to obtain it prior to employment.
