The Deaconess Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our pioneering team in Centreville, Virginia. In this full-time, onsite role, you will provide exceptional rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population, employing comprehensive treatment methodologies to enhance Mobility and function. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities in a rehabilitation setting, assessing the impact of injuries, surgeries, or chronic illness on their mobility.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on the evaluation findings, integrating evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, electrical modalities, and functional training to assist patients in their recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to adapt to changing clinical conditions and goals.
• Educate patients and their families on self-care strategies, ergonomics, and body mechanics to promote long-term health and prevent re-injury.
• Assist in fitting patients with assistive devices and provide training on their proper use, enhancing independence and mobility.
• Maintain professional development through ongoing education, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring that your skills remain current with industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a wide range of ages and diagnoses including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain syndromes. You will work closely with patients to understand their unique challenges and tailor treatment approaches to help them regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in using computerized documentation systems for efficient record keeping.
• A commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with a variety of treatment modalities, including sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, or pediatrics, is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and patient management software.
