Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions, mobility issues, and rehabilitation needs in an outpatient setting.
• Develop customized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic methods including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and utilization of specialized equipment to facilitate recovery.
• Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of patient progress and patient feedback to ensure satisfactory recovery trajectories.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, responses, and progress reports in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to educate and train on assistive devices and physical therapy methods to enhance home program adherence.
• Stay current in the field by participating in professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and networking events to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve treating a varied patient demographic, including pediatric patients and adults requiring rehabilitation for injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, or general physical wellness. You will provide support and motivation to patients navigating their recovery journey, fostering a nurturing and trusting environment.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must possess an active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) for documentation and patient management.
• A flexible mindset and the ability to adapt treatment approaches based on evolving patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Although prior work experience is not mandatory, a minimum of two years in a clinical setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
