CNC Mill Operator

This role involves operating CNC Mills, primarily focusing on 3-axis machining, to machine mostly aluminum materials. The candidate will read blueprints daily, perform basic tool changes, offsets, deburring of parts, and conduct quality checks on finished parts. Additionally, the candidate will operate a CMM machine. The department primarily handles long-run production, and training will be provided for setups, tool changes, and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills with a focus on 3-axis machining.
• Read and interpret blueprints daily.
• Perform basic tool changes and offsets.
• Deburr parts and ensure quality checks on finished products.
• Operate a CMM machine effectively.
• Participate in long-run production and receive training for setups and tool changes.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of CNC operation experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machining Degree (Nice to have).

Work Environment

The work environment includes compact hydraulic power units with AC or DC motors, gear pumps, reservoirs, internal valving, load hold checks, and relief valves, suitable for industrial and mobile hydraulic applications. Expect frequent exposure to oils, cleaners, loud noises requiring hearing protection, moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Safety measures include mandatory eye protection in all plant work areas and safety shoes with steel toe and slip resistance. The manufacturing environment is clean, air-conditioned, and requires standing all day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
