  About the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Role

  The Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) is accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and interdisciplinary team. As a Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) , you will support resident comfort, monitor clinical status, and help lead the night nursing team to success.

  Responsibilities – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with the plan of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and documentation.

  • Supervise and support the day-to-day work of Nursing Assistants on the night shift as a Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) .

  • Monitor resident conditions, promptly identify changes, and notify the physician and appropriate team members.

  • Ensure accurate, timely charting and documentation for all residents under the care of the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) .

  • Promote a safe, calm, and therapeutic nighttime environment for residents and staff.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers to support quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.

  Qualifications – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

  • Nursing degree from an accredited program or college/university.

  • Current, active, unencumbered LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license.

  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

  • The Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to long-term care.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment.

  • Ability for the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to work tactfully and professionally with residents, families, interdisciplinary staff, visitors, and outside agencies.

  • Strong organization and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
