Donor Relations & Engagement Manager

Donor Relations & Engagement Manager Jewish Foundation of Greensboro Primary Responsibilities & Community Outreach Serve as the primary professional for donor stewardship, strategic marketing, and community outreach. Plan and help execute events hosted by the Foundation along with other team members. Coordinate with Marketing Committee to create marketing materials. Manage distributions process, including data entry, acknowledgement letters, and working with Finance Assistant to post distributions in a timely manner. Maintain records and acknowledgement of client birthdays, anniversaries, and all special occasions. Donor Stewardship & Communications Cultivate direct donor relationships and maintain ongoing communication to assist with grant portal access, fund details, personalized giving resources, forms, distribution requests, and draft all written acknowledgements. Assist donors in response to requests for information, forms, and fund balances as appropriate. Maintain and update DonorCentral; assist donors with training, access, and rectify problems. Manage the Foundation's communication channels, including the website, social media channels, quarterly newsletters, and Shalom Greensboro submissions. Edit the content for a variety of communications, both print and electronic, including web and social-networking, all publications, creation of brochures and internal and external correspondence. Compile and organize data in preparation of the Annual Report. Fund Administration & Grantmaking Organize and implement distributions and letters from Donor Advised and Affiliate Funds, verify the tax status of beneficiary organizations, and obtain Board approval for new organizations. Review weekly distribution letters for accuracy, print and collate letters/checks, preparing them for mailing following review by Assistant Endowment Director. Assist Finance Director with coordinating and reviewing quarterly statements and materials. Database, Records & Reporting Maintain donor database with all data related to donors, grants, grantee organizations, and funds. Receive incoming contributions from donors, coordinate and confirm the transfer of securities, and accurately record all revenue in FIMS. Prepare tax acknowledgement letters for all contributions. Process interfund transfers, enter void checks/debit-credit memos, and serve as a point of communication with PNC Bank. Maintain records of individual donors and prospects to ensure the accuracy of donor records and files by managing regular updates including complete donor history and archival. Maintain physical and digital files of correspondence, distributions, and acknowledgement letters. Prepare reports from donor database to support development efforts. Meetings & Governance Communicate with Board and Committee members regarding meetings and events. Plan and organize Affiliate Council meetings and affiliate visits. Attend board, investment and other committee meetings; take attendance and minutes, prepare appropriate meeting materials, and handle room setup and breakdown. Attend Federation staff meetings as Foundation representative. Technology & Administration Serve as the primary liaison for technology and database systems, including all communication with IT contract support (Cypress IT/ FIMS / DonorCentral support, Modern Impressions copier/printer contractor) and assist where appropriate to rectify any technical malfunctions.
