Purpose

The California Water Quality Supervisor oversees compliance efforts at Liberty’s 7 water systems (Bellflower/Norwalk, Lynwood, Compton, Mesa Crest, Bellview, Apple Valley & Yermo). The position is based in our Downey office location. The role reports to Liberty’s Senior Manager for Water Quality.

Accountabilities

• Planning & coordinating required sampling + maintaining sampling readiness
• Liaison with contract labs and Liberty operations staff
• Managing receipt of water quality data, validation and archive
• Submission of regulatory compliance reports (including annual CCR & eAR)
• Responding to customer complaints
• Engagement with State regulators & EPA
• Support for implementation of Cross Connection Control Program implementation and reporting

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
• Minimum 3 years of water industry or related experience
• Certified Water or Wastewater Operator (must obtain within 6 months of hire date)
• Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Demonstrated Experience Engaging with State Regulators and/or Water Utility Customers

Compensation Data

Full base salary range $120,000.00- $160,000.00 per year *Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
