ANALYST I

Analyst I – Enforcement Branch Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. New to state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or alternate range as applicable. Location: Sacramento Regional Office, 300 Capitol Mall, 13th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814. Hybrid telework is available; in‑person attendance will be required as operationally needed. Working Conditions Work in a law‑enforcement environment that includes the presence of firearms. Occasional travel within and/or outside California, by automobile, airplane, or other transportation. Must be able to work in a high‑rise building. Frequent sitting required. Responsibilities Conduct program evaluation and planning, budgeting, training, and personnel analysis. Prepare draft monthly and quarterly reports, including statistical analysis and trend analysis. Manage databases, prepare contracts, and develop budgetary projections. Conduct research, track evidence, and liaise with allied and public agencies. Prioritize workload to meet deadlines while working independently under general supervision. Minimum Requirements Completion of a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience). At least two (2) years of experience in analytical or program evaluation work, preferably in a government or law‑enforcement setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications such as SharePoint or Access. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with extreme independence under general supervision or as part of a team. Pending completion of the Analyst I examination or equivalent eligibility. Desirable Qualifications Experience in conducting detailed analysis and managing multiple concurrent priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization. Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to change. Knowledge of SharePoint, Access, or similar database applications. Experience with public liaison and coordination across agencies. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
