Transform Lives Through Communication in the Beauty of Alaska – Become Our Next Speech Language Therapist
Imagine if your next direction in your career could uplift lives – quite literally. As a Speech Language Therapist in one of Alaska's serene landscapes, your efforts will transcend addressing communication and swallowing challenges; they will unlock potential, rebuild confidence, and enhance human connections – from young children articulating their first sentences to elderly individuals regaining their autonomy.
This position presents a rare chance to assist a diverse spectrum of clients across various stages of life within a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient involvement. Whether your heart lies in early childhood speech milestones, adult cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, or senior communication recovery, you'll find both satisfaction and adaptability in your work here.
Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics utilizing established evaluation methods and observational insights.
Create tailored therapeutic plans that focus on immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions addressing fluency, voice, language, and swallowing challenges.
Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care plans.
Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical interactions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
Keep detailed and prompt documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of field advancements.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification if applicable.
State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA ideal.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting.
Expertise in evidence-based modalities for all age groups, with a comprehensive grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, fostering strong connections with patients, their families, and care teams.
Adept at customizing therapy techniques to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical insight and adept problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
Attractive salary package aligned with experience.
Flexible scheduling promoting work-life harmony and varied patient engagement.
Pathways for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings.
Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
A collaborative, team-centered atmosphere dedicated to quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you'll go beyond providing speech therapy — you'll integrate into a community mission committed to restoring voicing, enhancing communication, and creating joyful moments through the fundamental human interactions of understanding and being understood.
You'll collaborate with colleagues who consider each other part of a family, in an environment where teamwork is valued over rivalry. Each patient brings a unique narrative, and we trust you to influence how it unfolds.

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Therapist whose motivation emanates from outcomes paired with compassion. Someone who notices a shy kid and envisions vibrant self-expression, who listens to a stroke survivor's hesitant speech and recognizes the spirit of perseverance.
You might be a professional specializing in pediatric care wanting to expand into adult therapy – or a neuro-focused clinician excited to incorporate early intervention into your repertoire.
Regardless of your interests, if you are ready to serve wholeheartedly and lead with expertise, we eagerly await your arrival.
If you see speech as deeper than mere sound, and therapy as more than just a series of tasks – if you embrace trust as fundamental before addressing objectives, and find joy in laughter as well as language – then this could be a pivotal chapter in your career.
Join us as we cultivate a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the courage to embark on a new journey. Apply today and lend your unique voice to our team – helping others find theirs in the process.
