Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn through comprehensive clinical support.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions to assess labor progress.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, pain management, and postpartum care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide critical care during delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PA or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Maintain current certifications such as BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Be willing to float within the hospital and across sister facilities if needed.
