Job DescriptionWarby Parker is looking for a patient-focused and dynamic Part-Time Optometrist to join one of its affiliated independent optometry practices. The practice is adjacent to a Warby Parker retail location. You will practice under the clinical direction of the practice's supervising optometrist(s). Keep reading!What you'll do:Perform high-quality comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations in line with established clinical protocols and standards of carePartner with the store team to create an exceptional patient experience while working together to grow the eye exam business at your locationPrescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions tailored to each patient's needs, and educate them on their options. Diagnose and treat a variety of vision conditions, including refractive error and ocular health assessments, while ensuring accuracy to help patients see (and feel) their bestShare eye care knowledge with the team to help them confidently support patients throughout their journeyBe a visible and engaged clinical presence to reinforce our commitment to eye care, strengthen brand awareness around exams, and ensure a seamless, elevated patient experienceUse modern digital exam lanes and EMR tools to streamline care and ensure precision, striving for an excellent patient experienceSupport key performance goals by delivering excellent clinical careCollaborate closely with the Store Leader to align on goals and strategies to build a strong OD + store team partnershipMaintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocolsMaintain State Licensure in good standing and meet all Continuing Education/State requirementsServe as a brand ambassador by educating and inspiring patients and team members, reinforcing our leadership in eye care within the communityPerform other tasks as needed to provide an exceptional patient experienceWho you are:A Doctor of Optometry licensed in the state where you practice, in good standingDedicated to leading by example, inspiring your team through exceptional patient care, collaboration, and a strong work ethicBusiness-minded and driven to deliver resultsExcited by a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and proactive in driving innovation and problem-solvingKnowledgeable about (and eager to incorporate) new technology into your workCommitted to continuous learning and professional growth, including staying up to date with the latest in clinical practicesNot on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) and otherwise not excluded, debarred, precluded, or sanctioned by or from participation in any government health care program or commercial insurance planThis role is with an independent optometry practice affiliated with Warby Parker and is not a position of employment with Warby Parker.
