We have done this by continuously delivering high-value solutions that lead to significant improvements in operational and financial performance for our customers Position Overview Lone Star’s Payroll & Benefits Coordinator position includes a number of back-office support functions including payroll calculation, processing, and benefit reconciliation. This role works under the supervision of the Finance Director while handling specialized administrative duties across both finance and Human Resources departments. This Position Requires Accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the organization’s payroll system Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations Communications with process stakeholders, including employees, responding to and resolving all inquiries regarding paychecks Assist in annual employee benefit enrollment and life event changes Create on demand HRIS reports for various stakeholders Duties & Responsibilities Input, review, process pay data and employee changes in Time/Attendance, Payroll and HRIS Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies Prepare and process U.S. payrolls using dedicated software, review international payrolls Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions Transmit employer 401(k) match information via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Respond to external audits for 401(k) and Worker’s Compensation, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication Audit and reconcile health insurance invoices against employee elections Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations Maintain and update the system for employee stock options and notifications Assist in managing/reporting all things related to payroll and benefits Understanding the organization’s benefit offerings Able and willing to work creatively while accepting input from others Capable of operating independently or as a team player Ability to track multiple projects and timelines with multifaceted priorities Highly organized, technically skilled with Microsoft Office suite and related tools Effective time management skills with attention to detail Support continuous improvement of payroll procedures and policies to promote efficiency and compliance Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and support the physical activity of back-office support Other Desirable Experience And Skills Use of iSolved payroll platform is highly desirable Familiarity with HRIS implementation is a significant advantage Prior exposure to payroll operations in the UK or Norway Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal Ability to understand and compile data for reporting Requirements 1-2 years of payroll processing experience Minimum Associates degree Accounting, Business or other relevant discipline Impeccable written and verbal communication skills Excellent planning and organization skills Work well under time constraints Expectations do not include All of the desirable attributes within a single candidate Summary What We Offer A great culture and work environment Heavily subsidized cafeteria style medical, dental & vision Flexible PTO and work hours Some remote work options Company match 401(k) Subsidized HSA (w/ HDHP election) Company paid Life and AD&D Company paid Short- & Long-term Disability Professional Development Reimbursement Variable compensation and equity options Company paid Medical Concierge Service Company paid Identity Theft Protection Lifestyle Spending Account Lone Star’s normal requirements apply, in addition to these job specific attributes.
