Maintenance TechnicianPLK Communities is an owner and manager of residential apartment communities.Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.Responsibilities and DutiesThe Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:Perform any and all property maintenance needsPrepare apartments for new residentsCompletes work ordersBasic CarpentryPlumbingElectrical SystemsMechanical SystemsSmall Appliance RepairMaintenance of the property grounds and common areasHVAC service and repair (willing to train)Ensure proper removal and disposal of trashBenefit SummaryMedicalDentalVisionCompany paid Life and Short Term DisabilityVoluntary LifeLong Term DisabilityFlex Spending AccountHealth Savings Account401(k) with 4% employer matchPaid vacation and holidaysPaid company eventsPaid community volunteeringReferral bonusRent discount potentialQuarterly bonus opportunityAnnual bonus opportunityRequirementsMaintenance or "handyman" experienceApartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plusValid driver's licenseReliable transportationTools (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multi meter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight)Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation
