Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in a busy ICU setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive critical care services and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients using specialized equipment such as Alaris pumps and GE monitors.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes, ensuring safety and stability.
• Administer medications, perform bedside procedures like cardioversions and bronchoscopies, and manage complex interventions such as CRRT and Impella therapy.
• Document patient information accurately in MediTech and adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, utilizing AIDET and other hospital communication standards.
• Float to tele or assist other units as needed while maintaining a focus on trauma or neuro care competencies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of critical care experience.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with neuro and trauma cases is a plus.
• Ability to perform bedside procedures and utilize ICU equipment proficiently.
• Willingness to participate in self-scheduling and work every third weekend.
