Job Summary Utilities Locator job at TEKsystems. Phoenix, AZ. Utility locators are specialized crews that detect underground facilities like pipes, cables, and other infrastructure. The crews sole function will be to locate and prevent accidental damage to underground infrastructure belonging to the City or PHX. They will utilize GPR/EM tools, long with paint and flags to identify and mark the exact location where critical infrastructure exists. Responsibilities Detect underground pipe, cable, and other infrastructure using GPR/EM tools. Utilize paint and flags to identify and mark the exact location of critical infrastructure. Prevent accidental damage to underground infrastructure belonging to the City or PHX. Utilize own vehicle while in the field. Requirements / Skills Telecom, Blueprint, underground, Facilities, GPR (ground penetrating radar) equipment knowledge. Own vehicle available for field use. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
