Senior Benefits Specialist

The Senior Benefits Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Hudson, OH. This role is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include managing benefits enrollment and changes, responding to employee inquiries, coordinating with insurance providers, and maintaining accurate benefits records. The Senior Benefits Specialist will oversee FMLA and other leave programs, assist with benefits-related communications, and support audits and reporting. This role collaborates closely with HR, payroll, and leadership to enhance the employee experience and optimize benefits processes. Qualifications Strong benefits administration skills, including experience managing health, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans. Knowledge of U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leave laws, with the ability to apply regulations accurately in daily practice. Experience working with insurance carriers and brokers, with a solid understanding of insurance policies and claims processes. Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly and support employees professionally. Relevant experience in HR or benefits-focused roles, preferably at a senior or specialist level. Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems, and strong attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
