Description: UNIT DETAILS: Diagnoses include but are not limited to Respiratory Failure, Sepsis, Covid-19, DKA, CHF, COPD, and Renal Failure. WEEKEND: Every other weekend required. CALL: None required. FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice as needed. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year; the unit accepts first-time travelers. JOB OFFER: Once the candidate has signed and confirmation is sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and determine if the unit, schedule, and expertise fit. RTO: Maximum 7 days. HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in that period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in that period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. COMPLIANCE: Full compliance is required to start on time. PATIENT RATIOS: Days 2 or 3, Nights 2 or 3, Weekends 2 or 3. INTERDISCIPLINARY SUPPORT: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Respiratory Failure, Sepsis, Covid-19, DKA, CHF, COPD, Renal Failure. SKILLS: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Care of Ventilated Patients, Central line care/management, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of dysrhythmias, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: Compliance documents must be completed and submitted on time prior to start. RTO POLICY: All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. HOLIDAY RTO: If one or two holidays fall during the assignment, no requests for holiday RTO can be made. If three holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO may be considered.
