Director, Project Management & Strategic Operations (Disease Strategy Team)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a strategic operations director to support the Disease Strategy Team Program Office, partnering with disease area executives to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver executive presentations.

Responsibilities

Partner with disease area executive to lead strategic projects and high-profile initiatives
Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor KPIs and ROI of key initiatives
Serve as liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination
Create and drive development of high-impact executive presentations
Lead after-action reviews of critical projects and provide process improvement recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; MBA, PhD, or MD preferred
10+ years progressive experience in strategy and project management within biopharmaceuticals
Demonstrated expertise in biopharmaceutical drug discovery and development
Strong analytical skills with Excel and data visualization capabilities
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration

Compensation: $185,400 - $278,200 base
