Asphalt Paver Operator

Job Description Job Description Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating an asphalt paver or similar heavy equipment (preferred). Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of asphalt paving techniques and equipment operation. Ability to read and understand job specifications, grades, and work instructions. Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Key Responsibilities Safely operate asphalt paver and related equipment according to company policies and regulatory requirements. Set up, monitor, and adjust the paver to achieve proper depth, width, slope, and alignment. Work closely with the paving crew, roller operators, and foreman to ensure consistent and high-quality paving results. Inspect and maintain the paver before, during, and after operation; report any mechanical issues. Assist with daily preparation of the job site, including checking grade, material supplies, and equipment readiness. Control paver speed and material flow for optimal mat quality. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and participate in daily safety meetings. Perform minor cleaning and maintenance tasks, including lubrication and clearing build-up from machine components. Support general crew duties when equipment is not in operation (e.g., raking, shoveling, or site cleanup).
