Grounds Worker

Role Overview We are seeking to hire multiple candidates for this position. This is an evergreen requisition and will remain posted and open until all positions are filled. Provides weed eating, mowing and grounds work on a government facility. Responsible for performing outdoor landscaping duties. What You'll Do Operating lawn equipment Weed eating Mulching Mowing Obtain the appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties. Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained in a condition that is safe and effective. Participate in meetings and training, as directed by supervisor and/or site manager. Relay information concerning performance, such as improved performance or a need for additional training. Maintain quality standards as determined by the quality assurance designated individual and/or site manager. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: No experience necessary. May require valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to obtain base access. Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs., independently. Work Environment & Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Employees must adhere to federal contract requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and compliance with security protocols. Compensation Notice Compensation for this position is established by the applicable government contract and/or wage determination. The posted pay reflects the fixed rate authorized for this position and is not subject to negotiation except where permitted by applicable law or contract requirements.
