Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel contract requiring night shifts and comfort with floating to Med-Surg at higher patient ratios.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36-hour weekly work commitment
• Floating required, including to Med-Surg with patient ratios up to 1:7
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must be comfortable floating and managing higher patient ratios
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required
• Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility's service area

Additional Information

• Responsible for supporting nursing students and participating in clinical education alongside standard patient care duties
• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
