Job Description

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in the successful execution of a multifamily construction project. This role manages project documentation, coordinates communication among project stakeholders, and assists with both administrative and field-related activities to help ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is a 5-6 month contract opportunity that offers valuable experience in the multifamily and residential construction space.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day execution of a multifamily construction project.

• Manage and maintain project documentation, including general construction documents and records.

• Prepare, track, and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely resolution of design and field questions.

• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including internal team members, field staff, and external partners.

• Assist with project coordination activities to help keep work progressing according to schedule and budget.

• Support field-related activities by gathering information, documenting progress, and assisting with issue resolution.

• Help monitor project timelines and milestones and report status updates to the Project Manager.

• Contribute to maintaining a safe jobsite by supporting adherence to project safety requirements and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Experience with or knowledge of RFIs (Requests for Information).

• Experience with project engineering or project coordination in a construction environment.

• Experience with or knowledge of general construction documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or at least 2 years of experience in project management or project engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily construction.

• Experience in residential or multifamily project environments.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple project stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment in Louisville, supporting a project located in Cincinnati. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager and collaborates regularly with field personnel and other project stakeholders. The position follows a professional office dress code while also requiring occasional interaction with active construction sites, where appropriate safety attire and adherence to site safety practices are expected. The contract duration is approximately 5-6 months, providing focused exposure to multifamily and residential construction projects.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
