BASE SALARY $130,000–$160,000, depending on experience

The Opportunity

The Resolute Group is partnering with an established, family-owned heavy civil and specialty construction contractor to recruit an experienced deep foundations professional for its Wisconsin operations.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of technically challenging projects, from developing competitive bids and securing new work through to managing construction, project performance and successful completion.

With a history spanning nearly 100 years, an extensive equipment fleet and operations across multiple states, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering complex specialty construction projects.

The company is looking for someone who can combine technical understanding of deep foundations with strong commercial judgment, project leadership and the ability to develop lasting client relationships.

Whether you’re currently a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager / Estimator, Senior Estimator or an experienced foundations professional looking to take on broader responsibility, we would be interested in hearing from you.

You don’t necessarily need to hold the exact job title today. What matters is your understanding of deep foundations, your experience contributing to successful bids and your ability to manage construction projects profitably.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

This is a varied position offering involvement in both preconstruction and project delivery.

• Lead deep foundation projects through estimating, bidding, contract award, construction and final closeout.

• Develop and review competitive cost estimates, including quantity takeoffs, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor quotes and construction methodologies.

• Identify bidding opportunities, develop proposals and contribute to securing profitable new work.

• Oversee awarded projects, managing schedules, budgets, costs, change orders, forecasting and overall financial performance.

• Coordinate with superintendents, field crews and operational leadership to plan resources, equipment and construction activities.

• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, owners, developers and other industry partners.

• Identify commercial risks and opportunities to improve project delivery and profitability.

• Support and guide estimating and project management personnel as required.

• Contribute to the continued growth of the company’s foundations operations across Wisconsin and the surrounding region.

• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and client satisfaction.

The Technical Background We’re Looking For

Hands-on knowledge of deep foundations construction is essential.

We’re particularly interested in professionals with experience in one or more of the following:

• Driven pile foundations, including steel H-piles and steel pipe piles.

• Sheet piling, earth retention and support of excavation systems.

• Drilled shafts, drilled piers and caisson foundations.

• Complex foundation packages for commercial, industrial and infrastructure construction.

• Heavy civil and specialty geotechnical construction involving deep foundation systems.

You should understand how these projects are estimated, planned and executed, including the equipment, labor, ground conditions and construction methods that influence cost, productivity and profitability.

Experience preparing estimates, securing contracts and managing construction work will be particularly valuable.

We also welcome candidates who have developed their expertise predominantly in one area, whether estimating or project management, but have meaningful experience supporting the other.

A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred, but practical technical knowledge and a demonstrated record of successful deep foundations work are particularly important.

Your Current Job Title Doesn’t Have to Match

We recognize that experienced construction professionals don’t always follow the same career path.

You may currently be working as a:

• Senior Project Manager or Project Manager within a foundations contractor.

• Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator or Estimating Manager with experience supporting project execution.

• Project Manager / Estimator within heavy civil or specialty construction.

• Construction Manager or Operations Manager with direct experience in deep foundations estimating and project delivery.

• Senior Superintendent or field operations leader who has also taken meaningful responsibility for estimating, budgeting and commercial decisions.

Perhaps you’ve spent most of your career delivering technically demanding foundations projects and have increasingly become involved in pricing and securing new work.

Alternatively, you may have built your career in estimating and preconstruction, while maintaining close involvement in construction operations and project performance.

If you have the technical foundations knowledge and the ability to contribute on both the estimating and project delivery sides, we encourage you to apply, even if your current title or responsibilities don’t exactly match the position.

The Projects

The role will involve complex foundation packages for commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments across Wisconsin and the surrounding region.

Potential project environments include:

• Data centers and mission-critical facilities.

• Hospitals and major healthcare developments.

• Large-scale commercial and industrial facilities.

• Major structures requiring driven piles, drilled shafts or engineered earth retention systems.

These are technically demanding projects where strong estimating, construction knowledge and effective project management have a direct impact on successful delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to play an important role in the ongoing growth of an established contractor.

• Base salary: $130,000–$150,000, with flexibility up to $160,000 for exceptional relevant experience.

• Annual performance bonus: Based on individual and company performance.

• Profit sharing: 3% profit-sharing program.

Location

The position is based in New Berlin, Wisconsin, within the greater Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Existing relationships within the Wisconsin construction market would be beneficial, but specialist foundations experience and the ability to develop new client relationships are equally important.

The position involves collaboration with office-based and field operations teams, including visits to active construction projects.
