Driver Recruiter Benefits and Compensation

$40,000$100,000 total earning potential, including base salary dependent on experience plus a competitive incentive program. MondayFriday, 8:00 AM6:00 PM schedule. Driver Recruiter Requirements & Qualifications

Must Haves

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with candidates by phone

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people
• Organized and able to manage multiple candidates and tasks at the same time

• Ability to work effectively with team members and internal departments
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office or ability to quickly learn applicable computer systems
• Willingness to learn the recruiting process and transportation industry

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Recruit professional drivers for a transportation fleet and/or students for a CDL-A training program
• Conduct daily recruiting calls and outreach to prospective candidates
• Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from individuals interested in career opportunities
• Review employment applications and conduct initial telephone screens
• Build relationships with candidates and keep them engaged throughout the hiring process
• Maintain accurate and timely candidate information in the recruiting database
• Guide candidates through the application, screening, and onboarding process
• Schedule candidates for required pre-employment drug screens and physical examinations
• Coordinate onboarding and/or CDL school arrival processes with approved candidates
• Communicate with internal Student, Safety, and other departments to keep candidates moving through the process
• Follow established documentation procedures and requirements related to DOT compliance
• Work toward weekly and quarterly recruiting goals
• Participate in recruiting initiatives, campaigns, and special projects as assigned

Driver Recruiter Preferred Background & Skills

No prior recruiting or transportation experience is required. The following backgrounds are a plus:

• Previous recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience
• Customer service experience
• Inside sales or business development experience
• Call center or high-volume telephone experience
• Hospitality, retail, or other customer-facing experience
• Experience working toward sales, hiring, production, or performance goals
• Transportation, trucking, logistics, or motor carrier experience
• CDL or transportation industry knowledge
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, CRM systems, or recruiting databases
• Experience with outbound calling or lead generation
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
