Retirement Education Specialist

Get To Know The Opportunity As a Retirement Education Specialist, you will support Voya’s Retirement Services goals by engaging individuals to save and invest for retirement. You will work directly with external clients and internal partners to deliver strategies that drive improved retirement outcomes—whether enrolling in their plan, increasing contributions, or optimizing product and service utilization. This role partners closely with Voya’s relationship management, product, and sales teams, as well as directly with clients. Candidates must be located in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA. Responsibilities Provide onsite education and motivational seminars on a wide range of financial topics to retirement plan participants and prospective participants. Customize PowerPoint presentations to reflect specific plan design and plan features. Maintain industry knowledge through continuing education programs required by FINRA licenses to deliver compliant onsite presentations. Maintain an onsite training measurement system to track program effectiveness for plan sponsors and internal Voya groups. Ensure presentation topics and speaking points remain compliant with industry standards and approved sales/advertising practices. Book travel through corporate-approved vendors and perform other duties as assigned. Travel within the region up to 90% of the time. Minimum Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 4–6 years of financial industry experience. FINRA licensed (Series 6 or 7 & 63 required). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent public speaking skills. Preferred Knowledge & Experience Familiarity with 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans. Life license preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days. Bilingual Spanish preferred. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (e.g., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
