Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite and involves providing therapeutic services directly in patients' homes. You will utilize your skills to adapt treatment plans to various living environments, ensuring that care is accessible and effective. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities, delivering individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.

• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions based on physician orders, utilizing evidence-based practices and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

• Document patient evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately and concisely to support skilled therapeutic necessity and ensure continuity of care.

• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, providing guidance to optimize patient care and achieve desired therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess and adjust treatment protocols effectively.

• Maintain accurate records and manage patient charges while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient demographic, including those recovering from surgeries, suffering from chronic conditions, or needing rehabilitation after injuries. Your role will be essential in addressing functional limitations and disabilities resulting from a range of health conditions or impairments. Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.

• Strong familiarity with computerized documentation systems and word processing tools.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
