HR Business Partner - San Francisco Position: HR Business Partner. Working in the Human Resource team in San Francisco, office-based Monday‑Friday, joining to support functional leaders and HR initiatives aligned with business talent needs. Role Overview Partner with functional leaders/managers and HR stakeholders to maximize effectiveness, providing HR consulting, coaching, performance review, policy development, data analysis, and organizational design support. Key Responsibilities Provide a consultative, proactive approach to employees and managers on employee matters. Coach managers to improve effectiveness and development. Meet with managers and employees regarding performance issues. Advise and approve corrective action documents following internal processes and policies. Participate in recurring HR processes such as bonus programs, promotions, performance reviews, and engagement survey roll‑outs. Co‑facilitate training on employee development, coaching and management topics. Participate in developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures. Evaluate and advise on the impact of changes on employees and HR systems. Partner with HR centers of excellence to ensure execution of all human resources operations within the client group. Collaborate with the HRIS team to create and maintain HR structures and improve processes. Analyze a broad range of HR data to identify valid insights and recommend actions. Collaborate with business leaders to design organizational structures, job roles, and talent management processes. Provide occasional onsite HR support for West Coast offices, which may require travel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited in‑person college or university. A track record of commitment to prior employers. 3–5 years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience. Hands‑on experience with California leave administration. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, with expertise in California regulations. Proven ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with internal client groups. Strong communication and influencing skills, engaging effectively with employees and leaders at all levels. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage multiple priorities. Self‑directed, highly collaborative, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated strengths in issue resolution, active listening, sound judgment, and effective problem‑solving. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Workday. Experience supporting a range of managerial and individual contributor roles.
