Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. The facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. It provides cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. There are 22 beds on the unit with patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1. The unit features equipment such as Welch Allyn vital signs machines and Baxter IV pumps. The electronic health record system used is Meditech. Critical thinking and the ability to manage discharges and admissions are beneficial. Common diagnoses treated include CHF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, and post-cardiac catheterization care. Candidates should be team-oriented and flexible. An associate degree is required, with a BSN preferred. The dress code includes scrubs, and artificial nails are not permitted.
