Senior Bridge Engineer

We have the immediate opening for a Senior Bridge Engineer that will assist in building and managing a structural group within the Texas market. This position will play a vital role in expanding our presence in Texas, hiring and mentoring staff, and helping guide the overall direction of our growth and expansion in Texas as well as supporting growth throughout the company. Leadership responsibilities include operating with integrity and sound business principles, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing the structures design practice. The Structural Engineer will participate in the evaluation, inspection, rehabilitation and design of infrastructure facilities for transportation projects. This position is open to multiple locations within Texas. Requirements: The successful applicant must possess the following: A minimum of 16 years of experience in the bridge design Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master\'s Degree or other advanced degree desirable P.E., registered in the state of Texas Strong knowledge of TXDOT Policies and Procedures preferred Experience designing and managing bridge projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with TXDOT Policies and Procedures preferred Strong knowledge of AASHTO Bridge LRFD Specifications Strong knowledge of TXDOT specifications, policies, and procedures Experience with a variety of bridge design software Hands-on experience with MicroStation software Qualified NBIS Inspection Team Leader a plus FHWA-NHI Fracture Critical Inspection Training a plus Track record of developing and growing engineering groups and establishing external and internal relationships Ability to manage and mentor staff of all levels and direct resources effectively in a positive manner Excellent communication and business development skills including developing client relations, strategic partnering, preparing proposals and preparing/delivering presentations Experience with all aspects of engineering project management including preparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedules Ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables and supervising the execution of work.
