Pool Attendant

Summary: The Pool Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to Club members and guests while maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the Oasis Pool and cabana areas. This position assists with pool and cabana setup, provides attentive service to members and guests, maintains poolside amenities and supplies, and supports the smooth operation of the Oasis Pool.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set up and arrange lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables, cabana furniture, towels, and other pool amenities.
• Greet and welcome Club members and guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, providing attentive service throughout their visit.
• Assist members and guests with cabana assignments, seating arrangements, towels, umbrellas, menus and other poolside amenities.
• Monitor cabana reservations and communicate member requests, special occasions, and service needs to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain adequate supplies of towels, beverages, amenities, and other pool and cabana supplies; restock as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the pool and cabana areas by removing trash, debris, used towels, and other items throughout the day.
• Monitor the pool and cabana areas for safety, cleanliness, and compliance with Club rules and procedures.
• Support the Food & Beverage team by serving food and refreshments to members and guests.
• Report maintenance needs, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with poolside events, private cabana functions, member activities, and other special events as assigned.
• Performs closing procedures at the end of the day, including straightening of pool furniture; folding and storing chairs and umbrellas; replenishing towels and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of Oasis Pool hours, cabana policies, reservations, amenities, events, and Club procedures.
• Work cooperatively with Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Grounds, Maintenance, and other Club departments to support efficient pool operations and exceptional service.
• Adhere to all Club policies and procedures related to safety, sanitation, guest service, and pool operations.

Qualifications  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of POS system.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms, push, pull, stoop and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
