Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: High Risk Obstetric care experience Experience with Magnesium and EPIC Experience managing postpartum hemorrhage and couplet care Description: This role involves providing care to postpartum patients following delivery. Candidates must have experience with high-risk obstetric patients and managing substantial patient loads. The ability to float to various units may be required. Nurses will be responsible for monitoring and caring for mothers and newborns. Documentation will be conducted using an electronic health record system. Experience with certain medical treatments such as Pitocin and Foley is required. Candidates should be prepared to manage census surges and high-stress situations. JADA experience is preferred. Participating in interdisciplinary support services is essential. Weekend shifts are required for the position. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse patient population are crucial.
