We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Production Manager to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our manufacturing operations to ensure the company's production objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a hands-on leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the day-to-day operations while also thinking strategically to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the production process, ensuring products are produced on time and are of good quality.
2. Develop, implement, and manage the production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize operational efficiency.
3. Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines.
4. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
5. Oversee a workforce of production employees and ensure they are properly trained and working in a safe and productive manner.
6. Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
7. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
8. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions in a timely manner.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
10. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
11. Address employees' issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements.
12. Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing management position.
3. Proven experience in production management, preferably with batch processing.
4. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
5. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
6. Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
7. Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
8. Outstanding communication ability.
9. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
10. Attention to detail.
11. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
12. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance objectives.
