This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and passionate about preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced banquet and event environment.In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and executing food for weddings, meetings, conferences, group events, and other banquet functions. Whether it's exploring the adventurous waterpark attractions before settling down to relax in the spa or discovering the diverse palate of tastes while shopping for a piece of the resort to bring home, we want our guests to enjoy every second of vacation.Be part of a fast-paced, team-driven culinary environmentPrepare food for a wide variety of weddings, meetings, conferences, and special eventsWork alongside experienced chefs and culinary professionalsDevelop your skills in high-volume and banquet food productionOpportunity for advancement and continued culinary skill developmentBe part of a team that takes pride in delivering memorable dining experiencesGreat variety of employee discounts and perks!All Full Time employees have access to our benefits package including Health Insurance, Vision Insurance, Dental Insurance and so much more!What You'll DoPrepare and cook food for banquet events according to recipes, production sheets, portion standards, and quality expectationsComplete food preparation and production in accordance with banquet event orders and established timelinesPrepare proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, soups, appetizers, desserts, and other banquet menu items as assignedAssist with high-volume food production while maintaining consistency, quality, and proper presentationMaintain proper mise en place and ensure all assigned stations are fully prepared for serviceWork closely with banquet chefs and kitchen leadership to ensure food is ready for service at the scheduled timeFollow recipes, standardized procedures, and plating or presentation specificationsProperly label, date, store, and rotate food products using FIFO practicesMonitor food temperatures and follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation proceduresOperate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout preparation and serviceAssist with setting up, replenishing, and maintaining banquet food stations and buffet service as neededWork collaboratively with banquet service, culinary, and stewarding teams to ensure smooth event executionAssist with breakdown, storage, and proper handling of leftover food following established proceduresAssist with garbage removal and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulationsMaintain awareness of event timing and adjust production as needed to meet service requirementsFollow all company policies, including uniform and appearance standardsAdapt to different stations and responsibilities as needed to support banquet operationsComplete additional duties as assigned by kitchen leadershipWhat We're Looking ForPrevious cooking or food preparation experience preferredPrevious banquet, catering, hotel, or high-volume kitchen experience is a plusStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to follow recipes, production sheets, and instructions accuratelyAbility to work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detailDependable attendance and reliabilityAbility to prioritize tasks and work effectively under time-sensitive conditionsBasic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practicesAbility to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-driven hoursHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsStand and walk for extended periods of timePerform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pullingAbility to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environmentAbility to safely operate commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to work in a physically demanding, high-volume environment for extended periods
