Location: Onalaska, WI | Onsite Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour Employment Type: Contract | 17 Weeks (Approximately 4 Months) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Anticipated Start Date: November 9, 2026

Position Overview

Connect Search is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a four-month contract opportunity with a well-established healthcare organization in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

This role will support daily Accounts Payable operations while helping employees transition to new expense reimbursement software and a purchasing card (P-card) program. The ideal candidate has a strong accounts payable background, is comfortable working with technology, and enjoys training and assisting others through process and system changes.

This is a fully onsite position, and local candidates are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily accounts payable operations and general AP processing activities.
• Assist employees with the transition to new expense reimbursement software.
• Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting support for employees adopting a new purchasing card (P-card) program.
• Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding financial systems, processes, and procedures.
• Help facilitate software adoption by providing hands-on instruction and ongoing assistance.
• Perform general office and clerical duties to support departmental operations.
• Collaborate with onsite and remote team members to maintain efficient workflows.
• Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to address routine issues.
• Assist with additional Accounts Payable responsibilities as needed to support departmental coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Prior office or clerical experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfort learning new technology and supporting software implementations or transitions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to train and assist employees.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
• Ability to work onsite in Onalaska, Wisconsin, Monday through Friday.
