Associate Attorney - Family Law

Thakkar Family Law is seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 1–3 years of experience to join our growing Piscataway, New Jersey family law practice. Current Family Part law clerks are encouraged to apply.

Our firm handles a wide range of family law matters including divorce, custody and parenting time, support, domestic violence, and post-judgment litigation. This position offers substantial hands-on experience, including client interaction, motion practice, court appearances, drafting pleadings, client interaction, and case strategy.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, organized, personable, and interested in building a long-term career in family law. The ideal candidate should have strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications :

• J.D. and active New Jersey bar admission
• 1–3 years of family law experience preferred
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases and communicate effectively with clients
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and pleadings with attention to detail
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
